WideQuick BMS and HMI Panel now in ICA Maxi´s new property

ICA Maxi in Bålsta is a modern retail space that is all set up to meet the retailing and experience requirements of the future. Automationsbolaget Sverige AB has installed Kentima’s WideQuick BMS and a 15.6” HMI Panel that monitors and controls the heating, air conditioning, and room regulation systems in the property.


Instalcos companies Automationsbolaget, Sprinklerbolaget and DALAB have been tasked with supplying installations to Skanska for the construction of a new retail location for ICA Fastigheter in Bålsta.
The new, modern ICA Maxi store covers a floor area of approx. 6,900 sq. m and is a grocery store with refrigeration and freezer banks, along with a pharmacy, deposit bottle return, foyer shop, and online order collection department.

Automationsbolaget Sverige AB´s undertaking has involved the systematisation and programming of WideQuick HMI Panel and SAIA PLC system, which together monitor and control heating, air conditioning, and room regulation in the property.

Malthe Winje Automation AB, which acts as an agent for SAIA PLC and a distributor for Kentima’s products, provided control systems and Kentima HMI panels to Automationsbolaget. This is just one of the many projects that Automationsbolaget has carried out using SAIA/Kentima products.

WideQuick BMS monitors the various functions of the property. The property owner gets a unique system that is easy to use, and provides users with the support and motivation to run their site in an energy efficient manner and increase the comfort of tenants.

”Automationsbolaget have created an attractive and clear application. The HMI Panel from Kentima is easy to manage and, if necessary, we can get help fine tuning via remote connection,” says Jörgen Heed of Riksbyggen, which handles maintenance at ICA Maxi Bålsta.. 


WideQuick HMI/SCADA Panel and WideQuick HMI/SCADA Box is part of a complete system for creating different types of surveillance with associated user interface and communication with external units. WideQuick is software for creating HMI, SCADA, or PSIM applications, has been developed by Kentima, and forms the basis for all operator units.

All operator units can communicate with a large number of I/Os and PLCs from different manufacturers and can easily be integrated with various subordinate and superordinate systems. WideQuick Designer gives system integrators the opportunity to quickly and easily create an effective surveillance system with a modern user interface.


”After two days of training at Kentima, we could easily and effectively configure the system to the customer’s exact specifications,” says Tommy Johansson, Technician at Automationsbolaget.


Kentima has trained Automationsbolaget’s programmers through the courses WideQuick Building Automation and WideQuick Professional. By strengthening expertise, customers increase their sales and improve their results. Kentima’s courses contain real world examples that can be directly applied to dedicated projects.
