Ethiris VMS 16.0 – Launched today

Ethiris VMS In version 16.0, we have further increased reliability. With a brand new hardware monitoring support, Ethiris Monitor, it is ensured that any problems with the hardware are detected early and can be fixed before the consequences become really serious. Ethiris Monitor monitors fans and temperatures in Kentima's Ethiris NVR/NVC/NVP series 1E, 2 and 3 and automatically creates alarms that are activated if the fan speeds get too low or if the temperatures get too high.

Clock syncing is an important part of a well-functioning video surveillance system. Previously, Ethiris VMS has been able to synchronize Ethiris Server with an NTP server and let Ethiris Server itself act as an NTP server to be able to synchronize the clocks in cameras against this. With the new Ethiris Monitor, the clocks in Ethiris Client can now also be synchronized so that all clocks in all parts of the system run equally. This is a great advantage in the work of finding relevant video in connection with security incidents and when video is to be used as evidence.

Automatic backup ensures that every change in server and client configurations is saved in a backup file. The backup file can be located locally on the server computer, on a local hard drive or perhaps a USB stick, or on a network disk to save the backups centrally.

A completely new support for joystick, keypad and jog dial means that Ethiris VMS has complete support for Axis' new devices, Joystick (TU9002) and Keypad (TU9003). There is also support for Axis' older devices such as Jog dial (T8313). With a keypad, the operator can select cameras, preset positions and virtual cameras. With the jog dial or the joystick's z-axis, you can control the video player for forward/backward playback.
