Pure Water Scandinavia AB delivers facilities that produce pure water to sterile processing departments, autoclaves and laboratories among others. The operator panel WideQuick HMI Panel from Kentima was the natural choice for their surveillance and event logging of pure water production.

Pure Water Scandinavia AB, PWS, projects, constructs, starts up and serves pure water facilities. PWS operates in a high technological line of business and the demands are equally set on availability and performance. Above all, the demand on event logging is high.

In the PWS facility WideQuick HMI Panel mainly monitors the process, by data- and alarm logging. In addition, PWS has added relevant documentation to the terminal, easily reachable for the maintenance staff, where also illustrated videos have been installed to guide during service and maintenance of the facility.

Thomas Johansson from LMT Elteknik AB has worked with Kentima’s products for a long time and has installed WideQuick HMI Panel at PWS. He is very pleased to be able to offer a complete product with considerably better functions than what the client previously has had access to.

How does a pure water facility work? An extensive net of water pipes is constructed to reach all taps. It is extremely important that the water is in constant circulation; there cannot be any pockets in the pipes where water can stand still. Return water usually circles through UV-light before being brought back into the buffer tank. If there is no usage of water, automatically approx. every 6 hour, the water will be tapped to the start level of the RO-unit. Thanks to this procedure fresh water can be mined in the system.

Customers of PWS are found within industry, hospitals, laboratories, and energy. A few examples of pure water facilities in Sweden are Sahlgrenska hospital in Gothenburg, Karolinska Institutet, Hospitals in Gävle, Kalmar, Linköping, Uppsala, Värnamo, APL Apoteksbolaget Gothenburg and VHC Ultuna.

As PWS saw the possibilities with WideQuick, new requests on Web Interface Media viewing on a panel has come up. It means that LMT Elteknik have been able to carry on their developing work continuously.
