HSB creates sky-high security for its tenants with Ethiris NVR

Sydantenn & Tele AB has installed Kentima’s Ethiris NVR-1 at Turning Torso Gallery. The building has 37 rental housing, retail and restaurant premises as well as tech-nical central and a parking garage for the entire complex. The purpose of the installation is to increase the safety and security of the people who use the parking deck.

Turning Torso is the Nordic region’s tallest skyscraper located in Västra Hamnen, Malmö and inaugurated August 27, 2005. The building is designed by the architect Santiago Calatrava and is owned by HSB Malmö. The building is 190.4 m high and is mainly a residential building and has, thanks to its considerable height, become a natural landmark in the Öresund region.

HSB Malmö also built a complementary lower building of five storeys, Turning Torso Gallery. The building contains 37 rental housing, retail and restaurant premises as well as a technical center and a parking garage for the whole complex. Under the ground there is a hallway that connects the parking garage and the skyscraper.

It’s in the Turning Torso Gallery Sydantenn & Tele AB has installed Kentima’s Ethiris NVR-1 to increase safety on the parking deck. Sydantenn has been a loyal partner of Kentima for many years. Kentima’s Ethiris NVR is a very flexible option as it is delivered turnkey from Kentima with both operating system and the latest version of Ethiris VMS pre-installed. In addition, it is licensed with the desired number of camera licenses upon delivery. Through a configuration wizard that automatically looks up available cameras and sets up a basic configuration commission can take place quickly and efficiently.

Ethiris VMS (Video Management System) is software for professional video surveillance and is used within a large number of areas. With customizable functions and the component-based design makes it possible for the integrator to optimize the functionality for the current application. Ethiris VMS consists of several different components which can be combined to achieve maximum flexibility, functionality, and performance in a system. The java-based script engine provides a completely unique flexibility and opens endless possibilities for customizing each system.
