With WideQuick HMI Panel from Kentima, Chemical Equipment Scandinavia AB can easily control, surveille and log values from their mobile purification facilities, no matter where they are.

Chemical Equipment Scandinavia AB, a subsidiary to Mec-Com Klippan AB, has developed from being an equipment supplier, to being a supplier of complete purification solutions for all kinds of polluted water. They have a unique product, mobile purification facility, Chemimix, which can be transported to the location where ever it is needed. The system uses mechanical, biological and different kinds of chemical purification. Their customers can be found in industries within mass and paper, groceries, construction, environment, ground processing and chemistry but also for water, waste and heat production facilities in municipals. 

Chemical Equipment was looking for new products that had larger flexibilities than traditional HMI panels. Effective designer, web access for the operator panel and logging of measured values were some of the functions that were very important to Chemical Equipment in their choice of new operator panels. They got in contact with Kentima´s sales department who introduced their operator panels, WideQuick HMI Panel. To fit the requirements of customers’ different needs, WideQuick HMI Panel is available in different sizes and performances.

The installation was successful and smooth, and today, Chemical Equipment uses model H516, in other words a 15.6” Full HD operator panel with WideQuick Extended Runtime. They connect the operator panel via a mobile broadband, which give them access to their purification facilities everywhere. This creates a great advantage for Chemical Equipment and gives the customer a possibility to keep track of their operation without being tied to a specific geographical location.

The operator panel also communicates with PLC and camera systems in the different facilities. Compared to competitors, Håkan finds that Kentima´s products have greater  flexibility, user-friendliness in combination with many other useful functions. It was the over-all concept that Chemical Equipment found appealing and the fact that they can choose how to expand their system in principle without limits and restricitons.
 
Each operator panel is delivered with the design tool WideQuick Designer which allows the user to quickly and efficiently create desired user interface. As a standard, a choice can be made for the operator panel between Windows 7 or Linux as operating system. The operator panel is independent of what operating system that is being used when configuring a system with WideQuick Designer.
