What is WideQuick

WideQuick Overview

Adaptability and flexibility are important features for WideQuick. With WideQuick it is easy and cost-effective to create HMI, SCADA and PSIM solutions independent of industry and application. Therefore, WideQuick is designed to provide a general system with excellent communication possibilities.

WideQuick consists of four parts: WideQuick Designer, WideQuick Runtime, WideQuick Remote Client and WideQuick Web Client. WideQuick Designer is the development environment where the application itself is built. WideQuick Runtime is the software or service the operator works with when the application is commissioned. WideQuick Remote Client and Web Client are two clients to access a runtime application, and are used to provide access to the application for remote management, eighter via an installed client software or a web browser.

Communication is essential for any HMI/SCADA/PSIM solution. WideQuick has an OPC Client and integrated support for several industrial communication protocols such as Modbus Serial, Modbus TCP/IP, OPC DA as well as OPC UA. Which allows for communication with a large number of I/O, PLC and other control systems. In automation there are several areas of applications where WideQuick is used today ranging from small machines to supervisory control of enterprises, processes and manufacturing industries. In the security field WideQuick is used as a supervisory system for various infrastructure facilities, alarm centres and surveillance of for example airports and entire cities.

WideQuick is well suited to use in client/server architectures and therefore can be used in local installations and more complex system architectures with many servers and clients. The integrated functions to manage languages, unit conversions, robust support for SQL databases and scripting makes creating beautiful and robust applications a breeze.

The efficient design of the software makes it possible to install and run WideQuick on Windows and Linux alike, as well as ensuring it can run smoothly even on more lightweight hardware configurations. Through the program processes can be monitored and controlled with ease and presented in a clear and concise manor to operator and other employees in an organization. With the right information accessible the right decisions can be made swiftly and therefore yield a more cost-effective production.
