News in Ethiris Mobile 5.130 for iOS

Kentima has released a new version of Ethiris Mobile for iOS. Ethiris Mobile is an app that connects to one or more Ethiris VMS to display live and recorded video.


The new version includes support for EAS (Ethiris Access Service). The app is pre-configured to be able to connect to Kentima's demo server via demo.ethiris.com.

The app supports Ethiris Server 13.0 (stand alone server) or later and iOS 14.x or later.

Ethiris Mobile 5.130 for iOS is available on App store from now on.


Support for EAS
Via EAS you can enter a name instead of an IP address in the app to connect to an Ethiris Server. The service includes that you can choose the desired name for connection. This name is then entered in the dialog for settings of connection to Ethiris Server.



The purpose of this is that if the public IP address, in the computer running Ethiris Server, changes, EAS will automatically solve this and ensure that the connection is made to the current IP address.


New iOS operating system
Ethiris Mobile 5.130 has support for the latest operating system for iOS, 14.x. This means that Ethiris Mobile supports iOS 8.1 or later.

New Ethiris Server
Ethiris Mobile 5.130 has support for the latest version of Ethiris, version 13.0. It means that the new Ethiris Mobile supports Ethiris 5.6 or later. Playback of recorded video requires Ethiris 5.10 or later.
NB! Ethiris Mobile today only supports stand-alone servers, i.e. not Ethiris Cluster.
