Model overview Ethiris NVR/NVC/NVP

Ethiris NVR, Ethiris NVC and Ethiris NVP from Kentima is a complete series of server and client computers with accompanying software for professional video surveillance. Choosing an Ethiris NVR, NVC or NVP greatly facilitates the work of installing and starting-up a video surveillance system.


The Ethiris software guides and helps the user to quickly configure the system for the current site. All NVR, NVC and NVP models are optimized and adjusted for their specific task and with the pre-installed Ethiris VMS, a flexible and very powerful video surveillance system is created.

Different models for different requirements
To fit in different applications and contexts Ethiris NVR, Ethiris NVC and Ethiris NVP are available in several different models. Ethiris NVR is available in five different basic models, Ethiris NVC is available in three different basic models and Ethiris NVP is available in five different basic models. These are shortly described below.


ServERS:
Ethiris NVR-1E
This NVR is suitable for small, basic facilities. Each unit can connect up to 32 cameras and it can have up to 22 TB internal video storage. In larger systems, several NVR-1E can be used to handle a large number of cameras. NVR-1E can also be a member of an Ethiris Cluster to create redundant systems. Ethiris NVR-1E is intended to run Ethiris Server.

Ethiris NVR-4
NVR-4 is designed to offer the market really good performance for facilities where it is required. The NVR-4 is delivered with i3, i5 or i7 processors from Intel. Each device can connect up to 200 cameras and have up to 44 TB of internal video storage. Multiple devices can cooperate to manage hundreds of cameras in the same facility. To create redundant systems, Ethiris NVR-4 can be a member of an Ethiris Cluster. Ethiris NVR-4 is mainly intended for running Ethiris Server, but under certain conditions it can also run Ethiris Client.

Ethiris NVRN-4
To be able to choose optimal hardware even though you don’t need internal video storage, we have developed Ethiris NVRN-4. This unit is intended to run Ethiris Server with external video storage, such as a NAS. There is no room for video storage disks internally in the device. NVRN-4 has the same performance as NVR-4 and can connect up to 200 cameras per device. With a larger number of cameras in the facility, several units can interact and if you need redundancy, Ethiris NVRN-4 can be included in an Ethiris Cluster.

Combined server AND Client:
Ethiris NVRC-1E/NVRC-4
These models are adapted to run both Ethiris Server and Ethiris Client at the same time. That's why they're particularly suitable for systems where you only want a single computer. Each device can have up to 22 TB of internal video storage. The NVRC-1E can be connected to up to 12 cameras, and depending on the choice of CPU, up to 100 cameras can be connected to the NVRC-4.

As with other NVR models, NVRC-1E and NVRC-4 can be run in an Ethiris Cluster to create redundant systems. Several standalone NVRC-1E/NVRC-4 can also work together in one system to handle a large number of cameras.

NVRC-1E can be connected to 1 monitor, NVRC-4 with i3 and i5 processor can be connected up to 2 monitors, and NVRC-4 with i7 can be connected to up to 4 monitors. Ethiris Client in all NVRC units can connect to several different Ethiris Servers, including the Ethiris Server running on the same computer.

Clients with seperate monitors:
Ethiris NVC-1E
This is a client computer without video disk, which is delivered with Ethiris Client pre-installed. You can connect one monitor to the unit for viewing of live and recorded video. If more monitors are required, we recommend Ethiris NVC-4S or Ethiris NVC-4L.

Ethiris NVC-4S
This is a pure client computer without video disk, which is delivered with Ethiris Client pre-installed. You can connect two monitors to the unit for viewing of live and recorded video. If more monitors are required, we recommend Ethiris NVC-4L.

Ethiris NVC-4L
This model is a pure client computer without video disk, which is delivered with Ethiris Client pre-installed. It is a big advantage that you can connect four monitors to the unit for viewing of live and recorded video.


Panels
Ethiris NVP-1E-311 (surface wall-mounting)
This is a smaller client computer with a neat and modern design, built-in touch monitor of 10.1” and 1 280 x 800 resolution. NVP-1E-311 is best suited for viewing live video from a small number of cameras simultaneously and for viewing of recorded video and alarm and event handling. The unit is perfect for wall mounting but can also be mounted on for example an arm for flexible placement..

Ethiris NVP-1E-316 (surface wall-mounting)
This is the model for those who need a client computer with a neat wall mounting, for example in public spaces. It has a modern design, built-in touch monitor of 15.6” and two alternative resolutions: HD (1 366 x 768) or Full HD (1 920 x 1 080). The NVP-1E-316 has the same type of processor as the NVP-1E-311, but a larger screen. The unit is also used for viewing recorded video and alarm and event handling.

Ethiris NVP-1E-321 (surface wall-mounting)
A client computer in the same design as the NVP-1E-316, but with a 21.5" touchscreen with Full HD resolution (1 920 x 1 080).

Ethiris NVP-1E-516 (recessed mounting)
Here you get a client computer with a neat and modern design, built-in touch monitor of 15.6” and two alternative resolutions: HD (1 366 x 768) or Full HD (1 920 x 1 080). The purpose of the unit is to view live video from a few cameras and for viewing of recorded video and alarm and event handling. The unit is meant for recessed mounting in a cabinet or in a wall.

Ethiris NVP-1E-521 (recessed mounting)
A client computer in the same design as the NVP-1E-516, but with a 21.5" touchscreen with Full HD resolution (1 920 x 1 080).

Ethiris NVP-4-616 (recessed mounting)
This is the model for you who needs a powerful client computer with a neat and modern design, built-in touch monitor of 15.6” and there are two alternative resolutions: HD (1 366 x 768) and Full HD (1 920 x 1 080). The device has extra high performance with several different processor options. For the HD model you can choose i3 or i5 and for the Full HD model you can choose between i3, i5 or i7. With NVP-4-616 you can view live video from many simultaneous cameras and high-resolution cameras. The device is intended for recessed mounting, either in a cabinet or in a wall.

Ethiris NVP-4-621 (recessed mounting)
This model is perfect where an extra powerful client computer is needed, with a neat and modern design, built-in touch monitor of 21.5” and Full HD resolution (1 920 x 1 080). The unit can be selected with three different processors: i3, i5 or i7. This model has the capacity to display live video from up to 40 simultaneous Full HD cameras with 25 fps each. The device is intended for recessed mounting, either in a cabinet or in a wall.


Accessories
If you want to record video in your video surveillance system, you normally choose internal video storage in your NVR. Depending on which model, it can be between 1 TB and 44 TB. However, sometimes you rather choose an ex-ternal storage solution, such as a NAS (Network Attached Storage). The reason might be that more than 44 TB of storage is required or that you want to use RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) to get redundancy for the storage. In these occasions, NVRN-4 is a perfect choice since it is intended for using external storage.

There is no limit on how large storage can be used with Ethiris. Furthermore, at license level Advanced and Premium or Universal function level 4 or higher you can define as many storage devices as you need for recording video on different disks.
To further increase the reliability, you can use an UPS to get uninterrupted power to Ethiris NVR.
