Stockholm Royal Seaport – emerging with top technology

WideQuick and Ethiris are used at Stockholm Royal Seaport

Construction of Stockholm Royal Seaport – perhaps one of the most exciting-ever housing projects in Stockholm – will be completed in 2030. Kentima is proud to be a part of this construction project with its security management system – a system in which both WideQuick and Ethiris play key roles.

The City of Stockholm has engaged the Linköping company Servistik AB, which specialises in logistics. Servistik is jointly planning transports with the building contractors to create an even and efficient flow.

To technically ensure that the transports are made at the right times, a time-slot system has been developed with entry codes only valid at specific points in time, at specific gates and under certain conditions.

The requirement specifications were clear from the beginning when the surveillance and entry systems were to be chosen. 
Vällingby Låsservice, in collaboration with Teletec Connect, developed and presented a complete system solution with functions that fulfilled Servistik's demands and requirements.


“WideQuick gives us exactly the flexibility we need,” says Thomas Walldof, Project Specialist, Teletec Connect AB.
 

Since the system will be connected to various business systems and planning tools, it was crucial to find a superior system that easily could be adapted to the application and offer outstanding communication capabilities.


“The flexibility and presentation capabilities made WideQuick the obvious choice,” says Mathias Esselström, Managing Director, Vällingby Låsservice AB.
 

The choice fell to WideQuick because the application not only provides major capabilities for building custom graphical user interfaces, adapted to operations, but also capabilities for connecting several underlying systems.

Because WideQuick is also fully integrated with Ethiris, the video surveillance system can be connected together in the management system. Ethiris enables manual control of gate and door openings from remote locations using pop-up windows and buttons on the computer screens. All information is stored in the application and this is later used for among other things, invoicing with specification of exact time slots. This is a big time-saver, according to Cristina Aguilar at Servistik who works with the system. 

Cristina finds the system easy to use and understand, and she is also impressed by the sharp and clear images displayed in the system.
