NVRN Rack Solutions - The Best Choice

The purpose of the rack solutions is to substantially simplify the work for the system integrator in putting together a complete, robust and well tested system.

The solutions are available in three different series with a total of 26 different models and they are dimensioned for between 32 – 2 000 cameras. By choosing a pre-fabricated rack solution from Kentima, both you as a system integrator and you as an end-customer, save a lot of time. To accomplish an optimal functioning system it is simply a huge number of things to consider. We have already done that at Kentima and we have used all our knowledge and experience to put together the best systems for an attractive price.


All rack solutions from Kentima have built-in redundancy via Ethiris Cluster which makes sure that the facility has full capacity even though one of the NVRs should fail. The video storage has redundancy by being configured with RAID 5 or RAID 6, according to the end-customer’s request. With the different NAS models we offer, we support video storage up to nearly one Petabyte (920 TB) usable disk.


Mounting, configuration and testing by Kentima  is included in the systems

The NVRs are mounted by Kentima in a rack together with Switch, NAS, Power supply and UPS. All components are from established manufacturers and of the highest quality. All mounting details required for assembling the solution are included.

All NVR-N, Switch and NAS are configured with custom IP-addresses and other network settings based on customer requirements.

The UPS is configured with desired time for system operation on battery.

The NAS is configured with RAID 5 or RAID 6 according to the customer’s desire and after that the disks are initialized, which may take a couple of days for large disk volumes. Other settings in the NAS, for achieving optimal performance together with Ethiris VMS, are entered by Kentima.

Ethiris VMS is pre-configured as an Ethiris Cluster. The only task the customer needs to perform on site is to connect the cameras to the configuration and possibly set up other desired configuration in Ethiris VMS.

When all mounting and configuration is done at Kentima, the system is tested to ensure full functionality before customer delivery.

When the rack is delivered, the customer only needs to make the UPS ready for operation since it is secured for transportation and then plug the rack into a wall socket to startup the system.
