SRW Anderstorp AB, a wholly owned subsidiary of Anderstorp Racing Club (ARC), has installed an Ethiris NVR-C with a total capacity of 32 camera licenses at present. The system is used to witness incidents or afterwards situations that occured on the track for a fair assessment.

Anderstorp Racing Club is a club dating from the sixties when the three founders Sven “Smokey” Åsberg, Bertil Sanell and Åke “Rörkrökar’n” Bengtsson formed the club over a cup of coffee at Blads Cafe in Anderstorp. The track was completed in April 1968, and then there was also the base of ARC’s now-days internationally recognized competition organization in place.

The straight distance on the track is also used as landing strip for aircrafts. There is also a helicopter pad adjacent to the infirmary, which is mainly intended for ambulance helicopters during races.

SRW has made a major rebuild of the facility’s infrastructure and have installed fiber for data traffic to all pickets used to transfer video from cameras. To achieve the desired video surveillance capabilities, a NVR-C from Kentima was installed. The whole system should be used primarily for race control. In order to make fair assessment of incidents or situations occurring on the track, the system will be used both for live video viewing and for investigaton of recorded video from the track.

”Kentima develop their high quality products in Sweden and together with outstanding support, we can get help quickly if it´s necessary”, says Daniel Holmenloew, ARC.

To begin with, the system will be expanded in spring 2018 as required, but through the flexible licensing model in Ethiris, it is easy to extend the number of cameras when demand increases.

The fact that SRW chose a NVR-C from Kentima was no coincidence. Daniel, who is a member of the board, already has extensive experience and knowledge of Kentima’s products. He works at Bravida in Värnamo and has installed nearly 50 Ethiris facilities and he knows that the products are of highest quality. Kentima´s NVR-C is designed to run both Ethiris Server and Ethiris Client simultaneously.

Therefore, it fits particularly well in systems using only one computer. Each NVR-C allows you to connect up to 32 cameras and have up to 10 TB of internal video storage. Several stand-alone NVR-C can interact in a system to handle a large number of cameras. NVR-C can also be run in an Ethiris Cluster to create redundant systems. Ethiris Client in NVR-C can use up to two monitors and can connect to several different Ethiris Server, including the Ethiris Server running on the same computer.

”Ethiris great flexibility, the high performance and the good opportunities for integration with other systems are features that made the selection easy”, says Daniel Holmenloew, ARC.

SRW has plans to connect Kentima’s Wide-Quick PSIM to get a superior system that can handle communications with all security systems in the facility. The purpose of a PSIM is to gather all relevant information into a single user interface to facilitate the user’s work.
