Launch of new compact Box PC and Operator Boxes

OE Industrial Computers We have now launched two new industrial computers in Box PC design, OE503 Rapid and OE503 Extended, as well as two new operator boxes WideQuick H503 Rapid and WideQuick H503 Extended.

Our new OE/H503 models are attractive, space-efficient and robust industrial computers and operator units. The compact design together with various mounting options makes the products suitable for a wide range of applications, mainly in Automation but also in other areas.

During the development of our new 503 models, we have focused on producing units that are compact, passively cooled, environmentally friendly and reliable. All new models feature a modern design, high performance, dual 10/100/1000 Mbit LAN, four USB 3.0 and two RS485/422/232 connections. There is also the option of connecting two monitors, as well as selecting the operating system and the desired size of storage device.

OE503 Extended and H503 Extended have an extra robust design where the components have been selected to withstand an extended temperature range, -25˚C to +60˚C. All circuit boards mounted in the OE503/H503 Extended are also provided with a lacquer that provides extra protection against possible condensation, other moisture and conductive particles.

Fanless units with high performance
All 503 models are passively cooled and come without a fan or other moving parts. OE/H503 Rapid comes with a Quad Core Intel J6412 CPU and OE/H503 Extended comes with a Quad Core Intel x6413E CPU.

Internal memory
To further increase performance, all units come with dual memory modules (2x4 GB). The memory can be expanded up to 32 GB (2x16 GB).

Storage media
There are storage media available from 120 GB to 960 GB, type M2 SSD 2280.

Mounting options
The devices can be ordered for different mounting options. There are seven different DIN rail mounting options and one table mounting option.

Operating system
The devices can be supplied with Windows 10/11 IoT Enterprise, Windows 10/11 Pro or Linux Debian operating systems.

Connectivity options
The units have great possibilities to communicate with via dual 10/100/1000 Mbit LAN, two RS485/422/232 and four USB 3.0 connections.

OE503/H503 Extended - for tougher environments
All models in the 500-Extended series, including the OE503 Extended and WideQuick HMI Box H503 Extended, are designed to be placed in an extra tough and demanding environment. The permissible temperature range for the ambient air around the units is extended to -25˚C to +60˚C (the included electronic components are specified for -40 to +85˚C). CPU cards, memory and storage media are also coated with a lacquer that gives the electronics extra protection against possible condensation, other moisture and electrically conductive particles.

Options and customised solutions
Examples of options include dual WiFi connections, which also include cables with connectors and antennas. Since development, production and support take place in Staffanstorp, we have great opportunities to develop customised solutions.

Operator boxes, WideQuick H503 Rapid and H503 Extended
Our new OE503 Rapid and OE503 Extended Box PCs are also available as complete operator boxes, WideQuick HMI Box H503 Rapid and H503 Extended.All our WideQuick HMI boxes and WideQuick HMI panels are supplied as standard with our WideQuick HMI/SCADA Runtime software pre-installed, with Extended function level and 2048 external tags, together with WideQuick Control Centre and a database. There is always the possibility to upgrade the feature level, number of tags and opt for the option of 5 years free updates of the WideQuick licence.

Status information on operator boxes
To facilitate the use of an operator box, there are four LEDs that indicate the status of the device: blue, green, yellow and red. The blue LED indicates that there is power to the devices while the other three LEDs can be controlled completely freely from the WideQuick application.

Communication possibilities
Our WideQuick HMI panels and WideQuick HMI boxes are supplied as standard with the following drivers: OPC UA client, OPC DA client, Modbus TCP/IP Master and Modbus RTU Master, soon also with BACnet and MQTT as options. This allows the devices to communicate with a wide range of I/O and PLCs from different manufacturers and to easily integrate with different sub- and superior systems.

WideQuick Designer
WideQuick Designer is used to quickly and efficiently configure the desired user interface with the desired functionality such as communication, logging, Monitoring, etc.
