Secure your facility with Ethiris VMS and SOS Alarm
Now, both existing and new facilities with Ethiris VMS can connect all, or some of their, cameras to SOS Alarm’s round-the-clock manned alarm centers for professional camera surveillance of the facility during desired times.
With Ethiris VMS, crime, vandalism and accidents are prevented. By connecting selected cameras from Ethiris VMS to SOS Alarm’s camera service, surveillance is strengthened. If, despite this, an incident occurs, SOS Alarm’s operators can help to ensure that the security, police and rescue services are as good as possible. With this service, surveillance is made more efficient and the surveillance costs for the site are reduced. The Ethiris VMS system can continue to be used as usual in parallel with the connection to SOS Alarm."It feels very good to be able to offer our customers an all-Swedish alternative for connection to our alarm center, which is also known for its stable operation and flexible configuration”, says Anders Berken, Product Manager Camera services, SOS Alarm.
The Hilding software, which is used to receive video at SOS Alarm, is general and is used by several different alarm centers. It is developed by Tennotech, which is a Swedish company and an independent developer focused on creating the best video management solutions for alarm centers with the goal that the alarm centers should be able to handle enormous volumes of video alarms with a few operators. By using the Ethiris SDK from Kentima, Tennotech has now been able to implement a powerful and comprehensive support for Ethiris VMS in Hilding, which helps the operators at SOS Alarm to maintain a high quality of their work.
The SOS Alarm service includes continuous monitoring of the system’s technical function. Among other things, the operators verify that there is contact with the system and that all cameras are in operation.
There are several different camera services to choose from, for example:
Camera surveillance
Alarms generated via Ethiris VMS such as video analysis in the camera or via other external alarm sensors such as fence alarms, radar or magnetic contact. Upon activation, an image stream is automatically generated from Ethiris VMS to SOS Alarm for assessment.
Camera-verified alarm
An effective complement to automatic alarms connected to SOS Alarm, such as burglary, operational or elevator alarms, as well as permanently mounted threat, emergency and assault alarms. The alarm operator assesses the incident with the help of a camera on site, which is connected to Ethiris VMS, and takes the agreed action.
Camera patrol
The alarm operator assesses what is visible in the cameras, which are connected to Ethiris VMS, according to a certain schedule and instructions.
Camera-based access
Having a security guard stationed at an entrance around the clock is costly. An alarm operator can verify access authorization and grant access through electronically controlled gates.
Other
In addition to the above services, there are several other additional services such as loudspeakers for announcements at the facility, I/O for signalling both in and out, entry phone, export of still images and video to external actors such as the police.
"I feel completely confident in recommending all our partners and customers, who are in need of professional video surveillance, to connect their Ethiris facilities to SOS Alarm, with their many years of experience in conducting camera-based surveillance”, says Peter Andersson, Produkt Manager Security, Kentima AB.
The customer can choose from different action options based on a standard template that can be adjusted according to current needs. For example, a list of contact persons during daytime can be specified and that external resources must be alerted at other times. Any security company can be used. The desired manuscript for loudspeaker messages can also be specified, as well as a schedule for when the camera services should be active. A great deal of flexibility permeates both Ethiris VMS as software and the camera services at SOS Alarm.
